About Kuwait Kennel Club
The official organization for dog shows, breeding, and pedigree registration in Kuwait.
Our History
The Kuwait Kennel Club was established in 2015 with the mission to achieve cultural development of dog sports and to promote the breeding and raising of dogs with proper care methods.
Since our founding, we have been dedicated to educating dog breeders and owners in Kuwait by organizing educational gatherings and seminars with expertise from European judges, breeders, and trainers.
We hold four workshops annually (at the beginning of January, April, August, and November) to teach breeders and dog owners how to train dogs professionally in tracking, obedience, protection, and agility.
Additionally, we organize three seminars each year (at the beginning of February, May, and September) focused on teaching the basics of showing dogs and presenting them in optimal conditions for shows and competitions.
Understanding the importance of proper breeding practices, we conduct two annual seminars (at the beginning of June and December) to guide breeders toward correct breeding methods that comply with international standards. These seminars highlight the importance of selecting dogs free from genetic diseases, choosing dogs suitable for breeding, and understanding the specific requirements for each breed in terms of character, temperament, shape, and general proportions.
Achievements & Activities
Our members have actively participated in shows across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, achieving excellent results and representing Kuwait with distinction.
The club has organized numerous conformation events specifically for Saluki dogs, including racing competitions, reflecting the special popularity of this breed in Kuwait.
In 2023, the Kuwait Kennel Club was approved to join the Fédération Cynologique International (FCI), marking a significant milestone in our global recognition.
